+1, not irrational. You can feel the alloy is soft when you build them. The width makes up for it a bit, unlike on the Sun M13IIs. The price is attractive, but I have built enough to know there are better rims out there.

I've taken a liking to the Velocity Aeros. Not the aerohead. Subtle domed aero profile, sort of like a more rounded Araya aero. They look great on vintage bikes. Haven't seen the VO rims yet. I have my suspicions that they are made by Sun. The erd is slightly smaller than on the cr-18s, but all the other rims they carry are sun, and the profile has a similar shoulder. If they are sun, I wouldn't be too thrilled about them. Also not a huge fan of single eyeletted rims.
