yea, your straining your forearms, at some point you will learn to take the weight off your arms. i can skid with no hands. at first i was putting all my weight on my bars, and when i did a long one, my right forearm ached. then i felt what the action was made of, and realized i overused my arms. find a way to use your legs, the bike, and your weight. the more you push on your bars, the less your arms do.
