Not that it's any of your business or on topic, but I don't own a car. I havent since 1997. The house is heated and cooled electrically by a unit that is cleaned and maintained at least once a year to maintain peak efficiency. Inaddition, we use high efficiency fluorescent light bulbs in every light fixture in the house and commonly the living room is lit by a single 15w fluorescent (puts out the light of a 60w incandescent) that provides adequate light for the entire room due to the style of lamp. We maintain an organic garden in the backyard that we water from a rain barrel that we made with a recycled plastic barrel and some scrap PVC. We're also looking at adding solar panels to the roof as a means of lowering our dependence on the local power grid. We're very strict about recycling as well.
