You shouldn't feel like a dick, if he couldn't wait for you to cross the road it's his fault.

Any chance of getting a traffic study done for that intersection and having a light installed?
He was only going ~10 maybe even less when he hit me (probably ~30 then he accelerated to try and scare me from crossing and then slammed on his brakes so I'm guessing ~10 when he hit me) and I just have a welt on my leg nothing that an advil or 2 can't fix. The thing I was upset about was how he REFUSED to be wrong, he wanted nothing more than to pass the blame onto me. Had he just gotten out and apologized and checked to see if I was ok I would not have pursued it farther.

He even told the cop he wanted me to pay for the dent in his hood that my elbow caused (I actually think this was what pissed the cop off enough to give him the ticket).

I'm just astonished at how car drivers could ever believe that a pedistrian or biker is at fault when they hit them, by making the deciscion to get into a car and drive it they then are responsible for not hitting people. It's amazing how many car drivers are willing to get into an accident or drive wrecklessly because they "believe" they have right of way.

Sorry for the rant, I'm pretty much over it now nothing I can really do now, just wish I had known he wasn't gonna stop sooner lol

Thanks for listening and sorry I hijacked the thread
