I have to wonder if the truck driver in this case will be let off with a slap on the wrist due to the fact that he wasn't drunk. That what would have been the probable outcome if he had just gone ahead and run over the cyclist rather than overcorrect back into the oncoming lane and kill the fellow motorist instead.
