Had a great ride with Noglider today. We headed out through maplewood and over into a couple of neighboring towns and through a county park thats apparently a former indian reservation. Very cool scenery.

We set off on our own bikes, Me on my Super Course and Tom on his Maclean (sp?). Not 2 miles into the ride I somehow managed to break the spring in my Cyclone RD that tensions the cage. Cage went limp and my bike basically ceased to work properly....so mile or so walk back to Tom's place where he kindly allowed me my pick of his (wonderfully diverse) stable to ride for the day. I tried out his Surly Cross-Check, but settled on a goregeous Team Fuji with Gold anodized rims and the most perfectly broken-in Brooks Professional. I was comfy, it was fast, and the Suntour ARX components performed as well as my Cyclone stuff....maybe better.

also had a chance to tour his workshop, which was packed with cool stuff. A Raleigh Twenty with the original Brooks mattress saddle, A Schwinn Prelude, A really nice Shogun (I think it was a shogun)...too many to list really, those are just a few off the top of my head. And to top it off Tom sent me home with a great Wheelset for my Team Miyata build...Dura-Ace hubs on black Mavic rims.
