+1! They're the blingy-est.
That is actually more than polished aluminum - - it is chrome plated. Marshall Cant (Syncros' product developer in Vancouver) went through a lot of prototypes getting the formulation of the base plating right so that the chrome would adhere (aluminum is touchy to plate right - - you usually have to start with zince plating first).
And you are right: the chain guide and bash guard that went with it have been discontinued for 2010. Not in the catalog and off the web site. Probably not enough orders (they were spendy).
