Nothing in this world is perfect, I guess. Either you have the extra heat from fillets, or you have the blind unions hidden inside lugs that Unterhausen refered to. Flip a coin and choose your poison.
Filling lugs is a lot easier than avoiding warpage from fillet brazing.
