What kind of batteries are you using? I've found that li-ion bats do well in the cold, and for ni-mh low self discharge bats such as the Eneloop have an edge over regular ones. That being said, I've found that li-ion is better.
i am using ni-MH, and will swithch over, but also i am running a cateye right now that is dim even at full battories (hopefully i can go throu more the on ride on a charge with a new system lol)
