exactly. I get that it's a bummer to have a new bike get scratched by someone else but it's over--maybe they could have given you a free tube or something but just keep riding the thing and make it yours.
i have a hard time believing that anybody here would be fine having a brand new bike scratched by a bike store mechanic. especially considering that the store deals regularly in bikes far more expensive than mine. for chrissake, be careful with other people's stuff. they're supposed to make people WANT to come there, spend the extra money for EXPERT service.
i don't expect them to buy me a new bike. if i were the owner, i'd offer a small store credit as a showing of good faith.
