I would recommend a hack saw over a dremel, personally. The hack saw is easier to control and provides a narrower slot with straighter sides.

If you have just stripped out the head and still have the "muffin top" screw head, I think the extractor/reverse drill bit method is better. If you have broken the head off, then go with the hack saw.
