JYB - I appreciate that the Mavic group could be sold for some coin, but this bike was given to me to try. It didn't work, and my buddy just asked that I pass it on to someone who will hopefully use it. It wouldn't have felt right to not honor his request by selling/parting the bike.
I hope the new owner will ride it, rather than flip it or part it out.
You have my word, that it will be ridden and enjoyed. I will even try to restore the complete Mavic group to the bike.
And the front fork looks like aluminum. It should polish up nicely.
I'm looking forward to restoring and riding it at our next C&V event.
