Hard ride yesterday with a lot of hills, so today I meandered for 25 miles. 45 degrees, sunny, no wind -- beautiful day in Northwest Arkansas. Stopped to watch a blue heron stomping through the wetlands near my house; stopped to watch a guy jumping up and down with an umbrella (little afraid to get too close), and then realized he was taking time-release photos of himself (should have investigated); talked with a boy fishing in Clabber Creek; and chatted with a couple horses. As the sun faded and the temps dropped, I headed for home in a Zen-like state. If you have not meandered lately (or ever), I highly recommend it.
