My education...well,let's just say that I didn't need to find out that a 4-6 yr degree in some medi-oker job,that wouldn't even begin to pay the bill's,let alone the huge college loan that I would aquired(hope the word's Im using isn't too big for some),just to say I was a doctor..or a really cool plack on the wall..only to lose my job or career because of the economy right now,no..I chose a better way,atleast.that's what I believe.I didn't need to be "pompose" to figure that out...but what I found funny,was in fact..suppose educated people,MUST have a degree of some sort's..to say that a "Guvnor's Club" is "pompose"..either that,or there..what I let my son say (weenie)..must be pretty big.my gramar,is just fine,why?,because Im more down to earth and speak the way I want to,atleast I can any place that isn't full of BIG headed individal's that "think" because they have A) been on here for awhile are the judge and jury..the final say. B)are ALWAYS right on a subject that they haven't even seen in person..but come up with the BEST educated guess..."so it is written,so it is so"mentality...basically,Im not here to offend,,but hey,I guess you must think that I was attacking everyone on here,and Im not.you have your opion's and I have mine.if you don't like it,fine..don't buy it my friend,plain and simple truth..I love mine.as far as a Huffy,I was joking..even though I considered my high-end Specialized roadie "OK"..just was tired of an aluminum bike beating me up..I love the feel of the heavier steel Guvnor..the larger tires/rim's etc..simplicity of 4 gear's..I would of choosen a single speed,but my knee's(and body) can't take the abuse no longer..I have been humping a pack for a long time,the hot and cold climate's..sleeping out in the rain..has taken it's toll.only 36..I have been a marine for a long time(scout/sniper)
all that seem's to matter is...that we all have a passion for bike's..I have enjoyed the ride since I was a kid,my son's are the same.and just because some group want's to form a "club"...doesn't make them "pompose". I don't go around knocking someone because they have passion for a certain "anything"..not because I have a huge schlong or in someone's case,maturity level is a wee higher.now,go ahead and nit pick through my spelling or grammer..I find it amusing,people like that anyway,because that show's me what kind of person they are...in the end.I am tired,been aloooonnngg week,range etc..basically my friend,I have been places and seen thing's in this world that are or were amazing.from what you posted earlier,just stick with your national geographic mag's and "nit pick" there opion's and thought's...while I have seen,in person..8 people on an old post office bike,riding to the market..in the sand.but Im sure your opion on that too,was a "pompose bicycle club" ha ha..~. (I believe the bike was an old pashley too.)..I'm off to fix the neighborhood kid's bike's....for there "pompose" bicycle club.

I must say ,I did enjoy reading some of the replies...as I can tell alot on here have a great head on there shoulder's...so hat's off to you gent's!..enjoy whatever it is you ride..no matter what it cost..or didn't....happiness is happiness..as from what the kid's in some countries ust were happy to ride whatever I coud fix-up for them..."happy trail's to all!"
