Your '89 660 is made from Double butted true temper steel. The '85 600 is made from 531 (main triangle). I'd say that the '85 is a better frame. But $250 is indeed way too much. I'd say $100 would be pushing it... but again depends on the market. You can probably get a whole bike like this with friction shifting for $150 this time of the year.
