So far, the bits that required replacement are:

The Mavic Monthlery tubulars (for Rigida AL-1360s),
The handlebar (damaged Giro for CdM),
Regina BX freewheel (swapped for Suntour Perfect)
Chain (original is long gone),
BB spindle and bolts (lost at the shop who took the BB apart),
Hoods (NOS shields bought by the previous owner),
Cables/cable housing (obviously)
Brake pads (Original Campagnolo pads swapped or Scott-Mathauser Model C's)
Front derailer (It had a second-gen Record on it with a cable stop)
Top tube clips (Originals were rusty - Will had already purchased an NOS replacement set).
Cinelli 1A 7mm quill binder bolt (rusty)

I purchased the '72 from the original owner's son - he had owned it for a couple of years. It hadn't been abused, though it was noticably neglected. On the other hand, I have no idea how many hands the '70 has passed through, ever since it was sold new at Magnano Cycle. The list of what did not require replacement is shorter then the list of what had to be swapped, replaced, or chucked out. What remains is the frameset, headset, RD and crankset; in addition the original BB cups are shot, but still installed - I have a set waiting to replace the originals, when I get a chance.

Differences between the framesets include:

27" vs. 700C rims ('70 and '72, respectively),
Chainstays ('70 longer then '72),
Fork rake,
Fork length (again, another 27" vs. 700C difference)
Eyelets (not on '72, but on '70).
Braze-on top tube mounts on '70, not on '72
Brake bridge/fork crown clearance (less on the '72).

-Kurt
