I don't have any experience of alloy frames but I have had new chainstays brazed into a frame - all steel. How are the stays attached to the frame, internal welding, glueing? Can they not be replaced, or at worst rewelded? If the frame is nice enough (expensive enough) to be worth paying out money then surely it can be repaired?
