+1 on New Belgium. I met a couple on a 10 month tour who stopped there and they got showered in schwag.

If you decide to make it through Kansas City, Boulevard is a GREAT brewery serving the Midwest and the end of the tour gives you all-you-can drink for about 15 minutes. My house is always open to cyclists, so hit me up if you come this way.
