Front Derailleur for Sugino XD600 Crankset on Road Bike (45mm chainline)

I'm building a light touring rig based on a road frame with 700C wheels and a 45mm chainline. Originally, I intended to use a MTB crankset and matching front derailleur. Although the normal position for a MTB chainline is 50mm or greater, I purchased a crankset/bottom bracket that I can adjust to get the chainline to match front to back. However, the front derailleur does not have enough range of adjustment to swing in and correctly shift to the small ring unless the crank is installed at 50mm (or more).

I am considering a switch to the Sugino touring triple crankset (still has fairly low gearing) and a matching road derailleur to get a true 45mm chainline. Question: What front derailleur works best with the XD600 at a standard road (45mm) chainline? There are so many variables in the design of these derailleurs, i.e., radius (large chainring dia.), chainline, method of mounting, swing, pull, seat tube-chain stay angle, etc.
