I dim my light -- I even mount it so I can tip it downwards (golly gee, is that POSSIBLE?!??!?!). I've had no complaints -- but I've had people say, "Thanks," as I pass by.

My point is that you are threatening physical harm and overreacting due to a slight safety \ inconvenience issue. As a result your opinion is irrelevant.
