Park Tool's website says "If the wheel has flat spokes, it is often necessary to hold the spoke flat close to the nipple with an adjustable wrench to keep the spoke from twisting."
I'll stick to my little homemade softwood slotted board to keep the bladed spoke properly oriented...

This also works it's just more labor intensive in that it requires slightly more dexterity.
