I put the W106's on last night. (Studded tires) A wise decision, as the there were plenty of questionable patches under a thin layer of snow.
Temps in the upper 20s with a light quartering tailwind. Overcast & dark enough that I was using my headlight and blinkies for the street portions of my commute.
When I was changing my rear tire last night. I noticed my derailleur cable was badly frayed under the the derailleur itself, making it hard to notice unless I looked at it from the proper angle.

I'm thankful it didn't snap on me en route, especially in the snow. I left it shifted to a middle gear, duct-taped the shifter as a reminder to not touch it, and will get it replaced later today. In my outer ring I could ride at a decent cadence around 15MPH, so it wasn't too bad. The hill climb near my office was harder than normal.
