Sounds like you see value in the bike. If you can narrow your advertising to folks who want an all Ti bike, you'll find folks who might agree. Unfortunately, most folks looking for a used bike are relatively uneducated.

All you have to do is 1) find a buyer who wants what you're offering (8 y.o. all Ti) and 2) convince him to pay what you're asking (whatever that may be).

The lion's share of the bicycle market lately tends toward CF, so that narrows down the pool. (An uninformed buyer might automatically assume that CF is 'better' since it's what 'the pros' ride) Your prospective buyer will have many dozens of choices from among the CF, Al, St, and mixed offerings out there, so the price you ask (based upon the 'value' of an all Ti frame) might not be appreciated.

Keep in mind that folks looking for a used bike usually start with their price, then look for something that will fit them, tending toward 'newer'. A lower price will attract more prospective buyers.

Also keep in mind that most folks looking for 'used' might be using the 'used car' model of pricing: a loss of 50% each 5 years. That would tend to limit your asking price to between $1.0-$1.5k.

Good luck!

It's a 53 CM.
