Hey all,

I'm in Copenhagen for COP15 (The UN's conference on Climate Change) and it's been a blast. Copenhagen has a bike culture like no other I've ever seen. It's amazing, 50% of city residents ride their bike EVERY day. This includes winter, and Scandinavian winters don't mess around. Talking to a local about it he told me that the city actually plows the bike lanes before they plow the roads. This made me amazingly happy, a city that asks how can we make the bikes happy before they ask "how can we make the cars happy" is how it should be. I feel that at a conference where the main goal is to reduce carbon output throughout the world we should just buy everyone a bike and throw their cars in the trash. I'm gonna start taking some pics of the bikes and I hope to post them when I get back (semi-pressed for time and internet is uber expensive here). Utility bikes are everywhere and just the other day I saw a family of 5 taking a ride on 2 bikes (the dad had a "tub" bike with 2 toddlers and the mom was riding a tandem with the eldest son). ps. A little bird told me that Obama's got a good deal in the works but only if Mexico, India, China, Brazil, and Indonesia get onboard with a more "Global Deal"
