why are you guys so hard on nice fixed gear bikes? maybe it was purpose built and there are no gears to "put back on".
It would seem it was purpose built, and that's good it's done right. The thread is 'what don't you like about my bike' i personally would run gears on that bike, and if i had a road bike, i'd probably have opted for the bmc track frame instead. As far as being hard on nice fixed gear bikes.... i just get turned on more by fixed gears on track/ss specific frames, i'm not saying any of the componentry is bad. I just love my cx02 and couldn't imagine using it for a fixed gear/ss, but to each his own. This guy is obviously enjoying his bike (from other posts) and isn't damaging it, so i have no qualms about any of that. But this is a preference thread.
