I thought it was interesting since I commute with my Tarmac and could rise the bars on my weekday trips to ease the stress on my back, then drop the stem on my weekend rides when I want to hall @ss.

My thoughts.......your bike should fit you properly and be comfortable no matter what your doing on it. You will be faster on a bike that you are comfortable on no matter if your bars are low or high. Get a proper fit and be done with it........
