Get the cheap ones, if they fit you OK. Silk is silk, as long as it's pure you'll be OK. They can ladder and tear if you abuse them, so if cheap ones are available get them. I paid £7 for mine and they rock.

My mate wears the ordinary sealskinz work gloves on the bike and loves them. I think the bike ones are just the same but with a terry cloth and some annoying lump of padding, and cost tweece as much.
