I like the face shield idea too, but never even attempted it because it looked like a definite fog over. Maybe I`ll experiment with one since at least one rider has success with it.

Swwhite, maybe holes near the top rather than the bottom? Also, if you get it REALLY short, it might still help a little by at least giving you a break when your head is down- sort of extending the little wind break that you get just from a regular helmet with your face down for a while. Of course, I have a mostly traffic free rural commute and can get a way with that- maybe you can`t if yours is more cityish than mine.
