I snatched an Ionos 09 for $150, only choice was white, but I wanted it for hot weather summer riding, so the most-reflective color and mega-venting were functionally perfect.

I also got a Bell Variant on sale for $50. It's a very good helmet. A little heavier, and not as uber-ventilated, but it's good. I've previously ridden older Giro and Trek, they worked too.

Oftimes, it's worthwhile to think about the use-based amortized cost more than the upfront cost. Mostly, look for comfort.
I'm taking a trip down to the LBS today to try on some stuff. Hopefully, I can find something!
