The jokes about LA and California are pretty true, people will jump in their car to drive one or two blocks to the 7-11. But they do have some pretty good mass transit.
You're right of course. But Angelenos are also proud of being trend setters, so maybe they will want to lead the way in becoming a carfree or carlight city. Who knows? Stranger things have happened....
