I have 2 balaclavas. The one I use when it's really cold has a built-in, fleece-backed neoprene face mask so there's almost no exposed skin when paired with ski goggles. It's made by Seirus.
I've used the velcro ones in the past but this is a lot easier to put on and it also covers my forehead.
