There has been a SIGNIFIGANT drop in quality of the new GT's and Schwinns as opposed to the pre Pacific days. Pacific and later Dorel industires as capitalized on the Schwinn brand and used it to sell inferior bikes to the public. I'd sooner ride a Cannondale than a new Schwinn
