Yeah, that is what I have heard also. The metric century was on mostly flat terrain, and consisted of a 32 mi each way route. So I also am confident that a century is doable within my abilities.

I'm just very self conscious (I guess it's from being an only child), so I worry in the unrealistic (I hope) probability of competing in a race and being utterly last.

In the A group that I go with, the ones who lead the A group are those who race. I see the correlation

/changes his goal to "Will lead the A group by the end of 2010" ...
