I work at the LBS, and would get more remarks if I were to drive in to work. But if someone asked me if it was too cold, and I didn't want to make a wise-guy comeback, I could point out that driving my car involves some or all of the following:

1) sweeping snow off of it. Brrrr.
2) scraping frost off the windows. Brrrr.
3) getting in and shivering as I drive. Brrrr. (no, I'm not going to let it idle in place for 10 minutes, cars are getting stolen here while warming up, plus it wastes gas while contributing to bad air quality)
4) just about the time the heater's putting out any heat, I'm at the destination and it's time to get out again. Wait, why am I doing this again.
