Bikes: 2 cdale Caad7. Scatantte CX/winter bike. SS commuter.

last base season was based on lots of indoor SST and MAYBE 2 longer rides / month (3-4 hours, 3000 kj). started strong, burnt out a bit by mid march and then got really sick for like 3 wweeks. salvaged a weak peak in mid april and actually raced very well all things considered. My FTP was through the roof due to all the SST, but my long race endurance was weak. I got in many breaks but finished last in all of the group sprints. no top end left after 2+ hours... plus i was 5-10 lbs heavier than i could have been.

this season the plan is different. I'm aiming for 6-8 3000+ kj rides per month, no exceptions. 3-4 hours gets this done. Lots of 70-85% work. I will be looking to get the CTL gently rising. I'll be doing a bit of higher intensity work (L4) indoors, but only as much as my schedule forces upon me. I've invested in some serious winter gear and am commited to long rides and big TSS weeks while staying healthy and lean.

I'm planning on a bit of a taper for april 10th, but will likley try and keep building CTL for some late april/may stage races. Havent quite designated my 1st peak, but somwhere in the mid april-late may range.

I also liked the low cadence steep hill work I did last season to develop some force production and work on that limiter.

Finally, by focusing on big miles, I hope to race 10-15 lbs lighter this season. that would rock.

But yeah, basically ZeCannon is my guru.
