I woulda sacrificed the bars to try and save the shifter (and im sure thus probably ruining them both in the end).
I needed the rando bars (someone find me a stem!) - only set I had. I saved the shifter lever - sooner or later, I'll find a barcon that needs it. I could have used the expander wedges not long ago.
