KDC1956, maybe take this less personally. Different things age differently. A two hundred year old piece of furniture may work fine today. On the other hand, maybe you would not want to connect to this forum using a few decades old Commodore 64. The bike lighting systems have not been aging gracefully. The particular light has not represented the state of the art even at the time of production. However, if you like it, that is fine. You can see a more modern version of a block dynamo light over here.
