Bikes: Trek 2001 8000 MTB, Trek Equinox 7 Tri

Chelboed and I did 44-45mph at 5AM in the dark, down a paved access road, with a small cateye bar mount light and Walmart head lamp. Not one of the smartest things that I've ever done.

53.5 mph on the South Downs way in one day event in 2003. Coming down from Butser hill but have to admit that we did brake for the gate halfway down--Were not certain as to whether it was open.



The "we" bit is the obvious clue--- 400 lbs all up weight and as steady as a rock.
