Well, I just finished up base training, which was putting in 15-20 hours per week (depending on what I had time for) zone 2 with small gear sprints (with 21 hours over the Thanksgiving week). Now I have started adding in intensity, which consists of big gear hill repeats, 10-15 sec max effort sprints, and short (usually 7-8 mile) TT's to work on sustainable power. My coach is still saying I should ride as much as I can (try to get at least 15 hours) as I am training to peak for the collegiate and spring racing season (here in Florida it starts early). I was just curious as to how much other cat 3's were training.
