The rims are silver, not anodized, so I am going to consider them original to the bike. I will clean them up and preserve them also - but just for day-to-day riding in the street, I think I will be better off with the clincher rims and some touring tires. ( I'm going to try the Michelin World Tour gumwalls.)

PS - Have you posted a pic of your SC somewhere we can see it?
