True, though I think the garbage guys are too busy to keep any of that stuff.

I keep meaning to ask my neighbor if the bike belonged to her ex-husband. I think I picked it up in front of her house.

Our bulk pickup day was so popular that it was written up in the New York Times. People would come from miles around to pick through our trash, because people throw out such good stuff. Some of our living room furniture is from that annual event. It has a minor rip and no odors.

Back to the Super Course. Most of the parts, notably the wheels, came from my old UO-8, which had been my town/errand bike for years. I expected the Super Course to ride comparably, i.e. acceptably. It's far, far better than acceptable. It's absolutely magical. The tires might play a big role in that: I'm using Panaracer Pasela tires, the non-Tourguard version. Excellent tires at the insane price of $20 each.

I had to retire the UO-8 because the crank gave me too much trouble, and I realized the frame was never really a gem to begin with, and it was bent when I got it, so it's now in my scrap heap.
