Welcome to the area kp, I'm about 5 minutes north of you. I never had trouble like yours til I moved to my present house in 2000. We have gas heat (forced hot air), and it makes the house wicked dry. My previous house had oil heat/radiators, and I had no problems. I've had recurrent sinus infections, always blowing yellow pus and/or blood out of my nose. We use a humidifier over the winter months to help, and it makes a difference. You may want to try it. You could cheap out, and hang your head over a steaming pot of water a few times each day. Or just never come out of the shower.

btw...I do call it "the T", but I never use it unless I'm going to see the Bruins and plan to get too tanked to drive home. At that point, I can put up with most anything.
