I did not know coming into the winter how hard it would be to keep my bike clean. I went for a 60 mile hill climbing ride with JoelS, and spent an hour with a bunch of paper towels cleaning the whole frame, then cleaned my brake tracks on my rims, and so forth. Then today went for a short 30 miler with tosterbe up to TrailHead, and now that I'm home, the bike is dirty yet again. I spent only 5 minutes wiping primarily the frame down. People say to just take a hose to it, but I'm too scared that even though if I do and wipe the whole bike down, there is that lingering feeling that I might have not wiped certain areas dry enough and whatever metal parts would get rusted.
Man, having a mostly white bike during the winter is like having a white car and living in a very muddy area
Maybe I should've gone with the red/black version of my bike instead...
I am such a wimp.
How do you guys keep your bikes clean during the winter without going nuts every time you get back home ?
