Question Best bike light? search...

I bought a 95$ Chinese bike light sold from Arizona and then it started raining like crazy here (north of Seattle) so I found out that the thing is not totally rain proof. And other person I know had a Niterider similar to this one and it burned out, possibly the battery pack was not waterproof.

So now I am looking for a totally waterproof lamp and battery pack wit a better beam.

So I would like to hear what you think about beams, I realize that most people seem to move so fast that they do not watch the road close to them. I like to see the road at a bout 20 feet to avoid the glass bits and I don’t move fast. So I am thinking about the SST-50 LED’s in place of the SSC-P7’s. Both good for a 30-degree beam width.

I just don’t know if three XP-G’s will produce enough light unless over driven to produce excess heat just like the other new LED’s

So what Lamps have the new LED’s and which has the beast beams and why do you like them?

http://www.visionxusa.com/ has a good lamp with waterproof battery containers but they are not made for mounting on bikes. I don’t think I should have to pay more than $250, but I want to know what is available.
