I assume, you are talking about Magic Shine? It's a great light with poor battery. I had the same problem. I let it dry and it works again. Then I bought some liquid electrician tape and sealed the battery. I also extended the cable and put the battery in my pannier, but you shouldn't have to do this. Just seal it and put in a small plastic bag and it'll be fine.
