Shimano derailleur can be actuated by either Shimano or Shim-compatible (2:1) SRAM shifters (Attack, Rocket, etc). Odd-number SRAM (3.0, 5.0, etc) and Xs (as mentioned above) need 1:1 SRAM shifters.
