I discovered singletrack riding a few months ago. For me, it's the most fun I can have on a bicycle. I wouldn't mind if that is the only kind of riding I did from now on. Only problem is there are no trails near my house. I've got to go 30-45 minutes to the nearest ones. My mtb is sporting Nokian studded tires and they really make a difference. Now, I look for smooth ice to ride on. I see very few other riders out on these cold days. I guess they just haven't learned about studded tires.
