I posted this in another thread, but will repeat here - my last ride was on Dec. 22. I cycled home from work, just 13.5 miles short of riding 6,000 miles for the year. Since bad weather was moving in, and we were scheduled to be out of town over Christmas, I recharged my headlight batteries and left home on my bike after dinner for a quick 14-mile loop of my suburb. Beautiful night ride, almost no traffic, no rain. Finished the year at just over 6,000 miles.

Good thing we did it, because we ran into horrible weather while traveling and couldn't rent a bike (as planned); we got back Dec. 30 and the weather was pretty awful on Dec. 31 so I didn't get any miles in on New Year's Day.
