I recently fitted a TA Pro vis 5 triple to my Ebisu, and given the five months from my initial order to receiving the frameset, I had a lot of time to try and figure out what I needed. What I realized was that taper and BB length were mysterious. Most online sources seemed to indicate that older TA and Stronglight cranksets require an ISO taper BB spindle, but I also ran into a few observations that seemed to indicate that the taper was somewhere between JIS and ISO. Sutherlands, 6th ed. notes that JIS is the closest replacement spindle taper to TA. At any rate, for that build I ended up with a 123mm Phil Wood BB w/ JIS taper, and had just enough clearance on the drive side. The stock TA spindle for a TA triple is also 123mm, and you would have thought that the JIS taper would have pushed my crankarm a bit farther from the frame than if I had used a TA spindle, but that wasn't the case (and certainly chainstay clearance is a factor). I have a bunch of bikes outfitted with TA or Stronglight cranksets and usually try to match them to TA or Stronglight cone/bearing BBs, but that's not always possible.
