This retro-grouch has been riding and racing long enough to remember when the only LEGAL color shorts to wear for races was black. (How's that for dating myself?)

It was a bad idea to change. Last month I was in a pace line with some dude in white and red shorts.

"Hey Beavis, get some friggin' black shorts on. Nobody wants to see your hairy ass crack in the paceline!"

WTF is wrong with people? Its bad enough for the rest of the world to see us all in spandex, but see through spandex. Come on!

Again, sorry I couldn't help with the red shorts. Wear what you like...
